Welcome to my new website at Simon Khan Golf

Firstly may I wish you all a very happy New Year and my best wishes for 2011.

Last year was a great year for me not least with the great week I had at Wentworth when I achieved my life long dream of winning the BMW PGA Championship.

about

However, 2010 has gone and I go into 2011 refreshed and ready to go. Stan continues as my caddy but I have changed management groups. I am now managed by Georgia Golf and I am genuinely excited about working with them on and off the course.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to my main sponsor Computacenter. For the last seven years I have been sponsored by them and I very much treasure our relationship and look forward to meeting some of you at one of the golf days I will take part in this year for them. I would also like to thank TaylorMade as I continue once again as a staff player for them. Finally may I thank Black Mountain for their continued support which I very much appreciate.

So an exciting year lies ahead, I hope your own golf goes well and perhaps we’ll see you on tour some time this year.

Southern Med Swing

I’m two weeks into the current swing of tournaments. The first event was Sicily, a very interesting place, albeit somewhat in the middle of nowhere and the travel arrangements weren’t easy. I played well in Sicily, aspects of my game that I have been working on started to improve. My putting, my short game (with Pete Cowen) and my swing (Matt Belsham) all performed well. The final 9 holes was awesome with a 4 under coming home taking me to 21st for the Tournament and a solid finish.

We had a storm delay and so finished 2.5hrs later than planned ….it was then a massive rush to the airport to make my flight back to Rome and then onto London. I got to the airport with 25 minutes to go before departure and managed to get on the flight….that pleased me and meant I would get home to see my family.

After 48hrs at home I travelled down to Malaga to Miguel Angel’s tournament. Regrettably I didn’t stay around for the weekend. My game was patchy and at this level you get punished for mistakes. However, the improvements in my game have given me confidence going into Morocco this week. Finally, well played Paul Lawrie, a top man and a great win.

On another matter, I was pleased that John my manager brought along Rich Rawlins from Finn Communications to Malaga who will be handling the PR for the Charity day I will be running in the City of London for Orchid, the Testicular and Prostate cancer charity I support. More on this soon.
